Substance Use Disorders in Child Welfare: What Works for Children and Families

In June 2013, a coalition of children's groups led Dr. Nancy K. Young, Executive Director, Children and Family Futures, Irvine, California, came together on Capitol Hill to raise awareness about the ongoing challenge of substance abuse and mental health challenges faced by many children and families that come to the attention of the child welfare system.  Below are several documents including fact sheets, recommendations and descriptions of some ongoing efforts:
