Representatives Kim Schrier (D-WA), Don Young (R-AK) and Karen Bass (D-CA) of the U.S Congress are circulating a letter asking their colleagues to support emergency funding for the child abuse prevention and child welfare systems to help strengthen families and keep children and youth safe during the covid crisis. We need other Republican and Democratic members of the House to add their name to this letter by Tuesday, April 14th at noon. We urge organizations and individuals to immediately contact your House Representative to ask them to sign on to the Schrier/Young/Bass child welfare letter. We hope you will reach out on behalf of your organization and encourage staff, supporters, and other individuals to do the same. Email templates for organizations and individuals are included below.
